Horse wear

As I said Monday, the horses at the Dubai World Cup didn't interest me so much. Here are some more photos of people – and their hats – watching the races.

I did watch the horses for a few seconds.

Go Seabiscuit!

But back to the real action.

Even some of the men were hatted to the nines…

That guy in the hat… that's a dude!!

And Mr. ELK....where was your hat? Why is it that we never see pictures of the wizard behind this curtain called "elktown"?

Knowing you like I do, I imagine that you were no doubt wearing something spiffy and dashing like such....

Eric,

LOVE the hat pics. I, too, am unfamiliar with the world of the super-rich. I only know about this horse racing/hat thing b/c Liz went to the Derby one year and came back with tales of fancy hats. Also of women exposing their breasts, like at Mardi Gras. See anything like that in Dubai? :)

Brad: I knew you would call me out on that. Taking pictures of people without seeming like a stalker is kind of an art form.

SeussPHD: The problem is, I'm always standing behind the camera, whereas it always snaps the pictures in a forward direction. And I juat hate posing for photos... I'm so bad at it...

KR: The Mardi Gras element wasn't around in Dubai, to my deep, deep regret. I guess the ladies decided they'd rather spend the rest of their lives not in jail.
